SEAPEX Joins Datapages Archives and DEO

AAPG Datapages and SEAPEX (Southeast Asia Petroleum Exploration Society) announced this month SEAPEX publications will be added to the Datapages Archives program and, subsequently, into the Datapages Exploration Objects (DEO) program of GIS-based search-and-retrieval.

SEAPEX, an AAPG affiliated society, was established in Singapore in 1973 to conduct a meeting, publish the industry news, and foster scientific understanding in the exploration for oil and gas in the region. Their conference proceedings have been published bi-annually since 1974. SEAPEX has a regional membership of more than 1,600.

Ron Hart, Datapages Manager, said he expects the SEAPEX papers to be online by the end of 2015, and all maps and sections converted to GIS formats in DEO before next spring.

Discussions are ongoing with other global publishers to participate in the Datapages Archives and DEO programs. Watch here for news in the months ahead.
